As part of STEPUP’s value add proposition we will be pairing each business within SEP with a suitable mentor. This mentor will be a person who is well experienced in the business sector and will have the required expertise to elevate and work with the student to develop a professional business plan.
On successful completion of the business plan the business plan will be evaluated by the mentor in line with a business plan vetting document designed to manage InQubate Quality standards, ready to be submitted to the SEP Committee to be tabled at an evaluation meeting where the student will be required to do a presentation to be considered for funding. On successful granting of funding the mentor will work with the student over a six-month period in line with a project plan to prepare the student business for market readiness as a commercial entity.
